Top 4 Urban Decay Products

Image
In celebration of Urban Decay launching for the first time in Australia, I'd thought I'd round up my top 4 must have products from the brand! These are the products that just simply work for anyone; Eyeshadow Primer Potion This is great for oily eyelids. It's a little thicker so it grabs hold onto eyeshadows & locks them into place, maintaining the vibrancy all day and into the night with no creasing or transferring. This stuff is legit. Apply too much or too little will have the adverse effect so it's important to get the amount right. Revolution Lipstick Creamy and moisturising lipsticks that smooth onto the lips ever so effortlessly but provide a punch full of colour. Such an amazing formula that leaves a satin finish behind. Lipliner not required at all. The packaging provides an awesome twist on classic casing. There is a little bit of transferring then it stays all day. All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray This is hairspray for the face. I...

L'Oreal Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Micellar Cleansing Water

Image
Packaging: Reqtangle & slim plastic bottle. The Smell: A bit like alcohol. Colour: Transparent. Formula/ Texture: This is a water. Let me start off my saying that I am so excited this is finally in Australia but this did not work for me. After consecutive use this broke me out in whiteheads - those little under the skin pimples. Which also meant my skin wasn't feeling smooth at all. This isn't something I experienced with Bioderma which has 10 ingredients. L'Oreal has 8. Water & Disodium Edta ingredients in common. The L'Oreal foams up easily in the bottle while the Bioderma takes more work to achieve the same effect. Lets look at the good things about this. It did do a brilliant job at removing my makeup with two cotton rounds too. It didn't dry out my skin or leave it feeling itchy. It was gentle to use on both my eyes and lips removing formulas such as Too Faced Melted lipsticks. It's fragrance and alcohol f...

Best Natural Ingredient for Acne | All About

Image
Tea Tree Yep tea tree. It acts an anti bacterial agent which kills the grim and nasty stuff in the pimple. It feels cooling which is a bonus. It also soothes the inflammation, so the swelling and redness will be reduced. The pimple is reduced by 80% overnight. For heavy and sever acne I recommend using this twice daily. I use this as a spot treatment when required and it does wonders. There's no nasty chemical smell either. So it's not going to expire after 6mnths. This does dry out the skin so dry skin people need to take extreme care and not use it all over the face. I found if I use too much of this, the surrounding skin around the pimple is dry and can get flaky. It's so good for the skin, especially as it's a natural ingredient and doesn't cost the earth. Honestly it's something I can't stress or express enough! It does an amazing job at 'getting rid' of a pimple.

Clear Lipliners & Why They're A Beauty Staple

It's a retake of a beauty product that's been on the scene the last couple years, yet should be a staple in every woman stash. Companies from Estee Lauder to Milani are producing their own. Read on to see why should it be in yours? A clear lip liner is also known as an anti-feathering liner. Essentially it lacks the colour pigment found in no traditional pencil lip liners. But why should that matter? 1. It creates a border for colour These are used around the outside of your natural lipline not on it. No colour leaves or enters this border, literally stopping any colour in it's tracks. This also means there's no bleeding or feathering of your lip colour. Forget about constantly checking on your lip colour! 2. Universal shade The clear liner is basically a wax formula which means it's a one-shade-fits-all type of product. Every skin type/ tone/ ethnicity will have absolutely no dramas wearing a clear lip liner. Even those women who don't wear li...

Lit Cosmetics Sparkle Kit

Image
Packaging: Extremely small plastic bottle for the glitter liquid base and square dude that contained the glitter. The dude doesn't contain a stopper which I would have loved to see to avoid accidental spills and knocks. It does come with a small disposable brush for application. Smell: None. Colour: Hello Sunshine - soft creamy procaine glitter with hints of orange sun bursts. There was two shades online but a whole range on Lit Cosmetics' website. Formula/ Texture: This is a straight up glitter. Gritty in texture and messy in nature. If you're not a naturally careful person then this might frustrate you as you may be more inclined to spill this. Always use little amounts and build up the intensity of the glitter. A little goes a long way which means the cube is going to last years! Tap of excess before application. With all that said and for my first ever glitter based product I absolutely love this!  The shade is perfect for multi us...

L'Oreal Carbon Black Super Liner

Image
Packaging: Shiny black tube with the handle of the applicator is tapered towards the end and makes up the majority of the tube. It has a felt tip that is quite flexible. Smell: Fragrance free. Colour: 690 Carbon Black - intense black. Formula/ Texture: This is a thin, runny liquid. It is very easy to apply, with the handle. As the felt tip itself is slightly longer then others I've tried, I do find that I didn't have as much control as the tip really slid over the eye. If the tip was firmer or shorter this would be avoided. The harder you press the thicker the line is. It is apparently created with pigmentation that provides 2x more intense black which I really didn't get that, especially compared to other eyeliners I've tried. The black could be more intense for the claim that's being made. I found this to have a 6 - 8hr wear which isn't the longest wear time that I've experienced and made me a little disappointed. I...
