Benefit Longwear Eyeshadow

These are the sample long wear eyeshadows I have from the World Famous Glamourous Neutral and Bronze of Champions kits from Benefit.

Packaging:
In the kits, the shadows are positioned into the cardboard lift out permanently. So you either have to cut the lift out down to the shadow or try and pop it out (which I haven't tried yet) to store it more effectively. The full sized product is in a white retro packaged compact.

Smell:
None.

Colour:

From World Famous Glamorous Neutral Kit
Call My Bluff - frosted finish, light beige/cream and a satin finish
Kiss Me, I'm Tipsy - frosted deep brown/red with a hint of shimmer and a satin finish
It's Complicated- icy light peach pink that leans more pink with gold sheen throughout and a satin finish
Guilt-y Pleasure- golden bronze colour with gold sheen. Has more of an orange influence than cream eyeshadow in 'my two cents'

From the Bronze of Champions Kit
Thanks a Latte- deep brown with silver sheen cool undertones and a satin finish

Medium pigmentation but buildable. Available in 12 shades.

Formula/ Texture:
These are smooth, thin, easy to blend & work with but the shimmery shades do have fall out.

This is the first experience I have with any eyeshadows from Benefit. I was expecting them to be somewhat chalky only due to the light shades I have seen previously released from them. In my experience these shades are generally matte or frost finish, sheer and a chalky texture. How I am wrong. The only downside is that these crease on me and don't have that great longevity.

Now I don't have extremely oily lids by any means but primer, no primer, over a cream shadow, heaps of shadow etc all give the same effect! I do find that layer a shadow over a creaseless cream shadow over a primer is the best method for less creasing. It's not as bad as the creasing I experienced from Rimmel eyeshadows, it is a little unnoticeable crease. They last 5-6hrs which I can get 8-10hrs from other brands so a little bit less wear.

They have a great variety of colour from the kits released lately, not a huge range in finish, I would love to see more matte finishes. These are decent shadows but the kind that I find myself having to consciously wear.

Available:
While the deluxe sample sizes are available in kits, the colours themselves are all apart of the permanent range from Benefit counters at Myer & David Jones, benefitcosmetics.com for $29 for 3g/0.11oz (full size) (1.2g/0.04oz sample size)
