NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil

Image
Best seller for years. NYX jumbo eye pencil are the best creations from NYX and are in every beauty junkies' draw. So I thought I'd pick up a couple to try out. Packaging: These jumbo pencils come in a white thick tube with a clear plastic cap. The product name is on the bottom front side of the pencil. These are the exact length of a normal eyeliner pencil, except the NYX are thicker in width and do not self sharpen. They do need an extra large pencil sharpener. Smell: None. Colour: 604 Milk - white colour. Opaque pigmentation with a matte finish. 617 Iced Mocha - warm toned brown with some golden sheen to it. Opaque pigmentation with a satin finish. Available in 28 shades. Texture/ Formula: The formula of these pencils make them long lasting with a creamy texture and are pigmented. I would recommend however to put an eye primer down before using these as a shadow as if not these can crease. Long lasting, no tr...

Addicted To Lipbalm Haul 30 Aug 2011

After hearing raves about the EOS lip balm spheres & the Sara Happ, I decided to take the punt and order them all in one hit- of course I won't be using them all at once.

Neutrogena Nourishing Night Calming Cream Cleanser

Packaging: Purple plastic squeeze tube with a clear cap. Like with most squeeze tubes the nozzle can get messy. Smell: Unique flowery fragrance that I can't quite put my finger on, although it's calming. Colour: White opaque. Texture/ Formula: Creamy and thicker than usual liquid. It's velvety between the fingers and feels more moisturising and nourishing than it does cleansing. It's easy to apply front the tube with fingers and remove with water. It hans't broken me out or given me any type of skin irritation. It's oil free. Because of it's creamy consistency, I don't feel as though it foams up adequately. It doesn't give me that invigorating clean feel as other products. It does a good job of removing makeup but felt as though as a film was left on my face. I did use another cleanser after this for a double cleanse. From the formula I think most skin types will enjoy this as I didn't have tight...

Rimmel Colour Rush Mono Eye Shadow Metallic #104 VIP

Image
Packaging: Square shaped single eyeshadow with bottom corners flared out. Black bottom plastic packaging with a clear lid. The eyeshaodw has Rimmel's crown logo embossed into the shadow. Smell: None. Colour: 104 VIP - light brown with cool undertones with gold glitter flecks. Sheer pigmentation with a glitter finish.                               Texture/ Formula: Very velvety shadow. BUT HAS HEAPS OF FALL OUT!! Glitter seems to get travel around the eyes and onto the cheeks. It's a nice colour, with lots of glitter but this glitter seems to go everywhere!! Extremely painful and not even eye primer seems to help. Maybe thats why it's no longer available. This range of single eyeshadows are discontinued from Rimmel's product line and I can see why! Available: No longer available but was $6 for 2.4g. ...

Australias Eye Pencil

Image
Packaging: Pencil with black cap. Smell: None. Colour: Black. Very opaque pigmentation with a matte finish. Comes in a range of 7 colours. Texture/ Formula: Creamy pencil that glides on easily but looses it's fine point very quickly.  It is long lasting on the lash line but does transfer slightly onto the eyelid. This is even after giving it a few minutes to 'set' of which it still smudges.  The pencil is waterproof but with the easy smudge ability, this makes it hard to get off. Makeup remover wipes, creams and specific eye remover does lift off most of it but seems to leave some of the pencil caught in the lashes which transfer around the lash line overnight, leaving panda eyes. It then takes another effort to remove this. Honestly is an extra step in my routine, granted it doesn't take long to do but it's not something I want to do. Especially when there are other pencil eyeliners that...

Neutrogena Oil-Free Daily Scrub

Image
Packaging: Plastic squeeze tube with the top half of the tube. The hole where the scrub is dispensed from is decent sized. Durable packaging that is also easy to see how much product is remaining. Also it can be cut open to scoop out remaining product. Smell: Fresh, citrus. Colour: Pale orange scrub with orange microbeads. Texture/ Formula: Thick scrub with fine tiny microbeads. It's not too harsh or irritating on the skin but a gentle scrub. It's easy to apply from the tube wit fingers and remove. Does contain an acne medication of salicylic acid. I do feel as though my skin is clean and fresh. My skin felt a bit tighter after use but not dry where it needed moisturising. I defiantly feel as though my skin has been exfoliated. It's good for oily skin as it's oil-free. I didn't have any breakouts or irritation. The gentle formula will be suited for those with sensitive skin. Available: From Price...

Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation

Image
I was after a foundation that would be travel friendly in terms of packaging, long-wearing and oil-free. High bench mark hey? In a 3 for 2 special I thought it'll be no better opportunity to test this foundation out considering I've never tried any face products form Rimmel before. Packaging: Soft matte squeeze tube with the bottom portion of the tube showing the colour of the foundation which also helps to indicate how much product is left. The shiny beige lid is screw off with a portion control dispenser with a tiny opening that helps to control how much product you want. Very durable packaging especially for travelling. Smell: Only on the back of my hand can I smell something that resembles a slight light sunscreen smell. Colour: 100 Ivory. Medium coverage with a matte finish. This is the lightest shade from the selection I had to choose from and I'm by no means a pale skinned person. This is one of the negative things about this foundation-the c...
