Organisation & Storage Ideas | Scarfs & Belts

Image
These are the most trickiest accessories to find a storage solution for in my opinion. There is so many different fabrics, sizes, weight, colours AND storage space. I suggest spending a considerable amount of time working out what doesn't work for you and what options are available. For example you may like the look of the vintage boxes/ dishes but are always in a rush when getting ready, so fumbling through many items in a boxes may not be practical. Always plan for the space you  have  not  want . Allow for some room for your collection to grow so it doesn't quickly not work for you. Having unity in colour and style of pieces (bins, dividers, buckets) adds cohesion to your room and based on appearance is easier on the brain especially to process. Firstly determine which out of the two you wear more and want to be more prominent or easier to get too. Now it's time to look at some space options; hanging for those who have more wardrobe space, shelf for those who mo...

Organisation & Storage Ideas | Intro

I've decided to start a new feature or series, should I call it, where I share some of my hints and tips for organising. Im a neat freak, I love things having their own spot, everything being accessible it makes life so much more efficient. Now by no means am I an expert. These are my  ideas on organisation. Every fortnight I'll break down parts of the wardrobe with organistation ideas. If there is any more sections you can think of or any more ideas that you can contibute then please do! I love seeing how other people store things and what works for them and their lifestyle. Something that may be obvious to one may have slipped to mind of another. Sharing this only makes us more efficient. I like to go on Pinterest and Google looking at different organisation pictures and posts. With each of these posts when organising start with a small area or group of items. Anything else is too over whelming. I suggest to always asses the amount of space and type of storage you...

MAC Blush 'Hipness' [To The Beach Collection May 2010]

Image
Packaging: Typical MAC plastic compact with the see through lid, however this is a shiny green with a starfish  print on the lid. There is no brush or sponge bottom portion to MAC compacts. The pan itself is a round disc. Each product in this collection has a different beach themed print on the packaging. Smell: None. Colour: Coral with gold shimmer. Medium pigmentation with a frost finish. It can be either sheered out or built up. The colour reminds me of the NARS blush in Orgasm. NARS is defiantly more sheer in pigmentation and more on the pink side but thats where the differences lie. The swatches below correlate to the order of the blushes. Formula/ Texture: It's an ultra fine smooth textured powder. It is lightweight and does have an longevity of up to 5 hours. It is easy to apply with a blush brush and easy to remove with a basic makeup wipe. There's no oxidisation or skin irritation. I'm glad to see that there isn't a...

OPI Start to Finish Base & Top Coat Nail Polish

Image
Packaging: OPI angled glass bottle with a matte black skinny top with the brush end. Smell: Nail Polish. Colour: Clear. Formula/ Texture: This is an all in one polish that acts as a base coat, top coat and strengthener. It's thin and easy to apply and dry. It doesn't yellow or split my nails. Use every other day for stronger nails. I found it does a good job of being chip resistant for coloured polish for up to 4 days. Available: From Myer and David Jones for $19 for 15ml/0.5fl.oz.

Nails | OPI Dating A Royal

Image
This is a rich royal blue colour. It is flat with no shimmer or glitter to it. It is opaque in one coat but two verifies this. In the picture I have it teamed with a metallic silver on my ring finger as an accent nail. I love the blue depth to this. I'm not a fan of sky or baby blue colours, but the deeper, more richer colours are to my liking. I love wearing this all year round, more so on my toes. On my fingers it's a more edgier vibe yet still classic.

NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil

Image
Packaging: Rubberized feel pencil with shiny and smooth colour at the end. A matte pencil is easily distinguished by the type of colour pattern at the end of the pencil which is a solid block of colour that is the shade of the pencil. It's topped off with a rubberized sturdy cap. Smell: None. Colour/Taste: Never Say Never - pink lilac with cool undertones. Sex Machine - pink mauve with a very slight silver shimmer with cool undertones. Opaque pigmentation with a matte finish. Available in 19 shades. Formula/ Texture: It has a thick creamy texture that is dry. It is lightweight and comfortable on the lips. No filling into the lines on the lips either. It is vitamin E enriched so it's a tad moisturising. It is a little stiff to apply. The longevity last for 4 hours as the matte finish makes the colour act sort of similar to a stain where it lingers. It can be topped with a lipgloss if desired. It is easily to remove with a basic...
